Some More Information About Our School:

After School Clubs

We are pleased to be able to offer the following after school clubs: football, rugby, board games, netball and knitting. They are open to children of all ages. Please come to the School Office if you have any queries about these clubs. We extend our warmest thanks to Discovery for donating the cost of leasing the local town hall for this purpose.

Our School

Should you wish to visit the school, please ring the school office to make an appointment. The headteacher will be delighted to show you around and talk to you about what Trafalgar Infants has to offer and about our vibrant and supportive school community. We have two school buildings connected by a sky walkway. We also have a large pond in the grounds with swans in it.

Curriculum

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) begins from birth to the age of five. The last year of the EYFS is often described as the reception year. This prepares children for learning in key stage 1 and is consistent with the national curriculum. We place emphasis on reading, writing and arithmetic. By the time children leave our school and go on to other levels of education, they will be able to recite the alphabet, have basic addition and subtraction skills, and be able to read short novels on their own.

Friends of The School

The Friends of Trafalgar Infants School is a group of parents who meet with teachers regularly to discuss issues relevant to the school and who donate their time to help out at the school and support the teachers in running the after-school clubs. If you are a parent or a guardian of a child at the school, you automatically are a member of this group and are encouraged to come along to the meetings.
